Alessi has become part of the WPA Chicago collection of home offerings, which includes furnishings by Poltrona Frau, Cassina and Cappellini, textiles by Dermond Peterson, kitchens by Arclinea and lighting by Flos.
Alessi is one of the great design companies, focusing on art and poetry for the kitchen and household objects, which embodies the typical phenomenon of Italian industrial culture, namely that of “Italian Design Factories”. The Alessi family business has been firmly established on Lake Orta since 1921 and represents a long standing tradition in wood and metal craft that is still thriving today. Great design, function and designer partnerships have made way for Alessi to be included in many permanent museum collections throughout out the world.
